Rocktober in Mišja peč

Rocktober brought perfect conditions and even better performances to Mišja peč this year! While the famous crag is always a hotspot in the fall, this October was truly owned by the ladies – from local crushers to strong visitors – all sending hard lines and pushing their limits on the golden limestone of Mišja peč.

Female power in Mišja peč

Leading the charge was World Cup competitor Lucija Tarkuš, who had an unbelievable streak during Rocktober. She climbed the hard Konec mira (8c) and long Corrida (8c) on the same day, followed by one and only Kaj ti je deklica (8b+), tricky Highlander (8a+), amazing Ptičja perspektiva (8a+) and polished Oktoberfest (8a).

Her younger sister Vesna Tarkuš, just 14 years old, joined the family success story by clipping chains on her first 8b, Mrtvaški ples (8b), along with Samsara (8a) and Giljotina (8a).

Another strong female send came from Ajda Remškar, who ticked her first 8b+, Kaj ti je deklica (8b+), and also sent Lahko noč Irena (8b).

Teja Bobnar joined the Rocktober crew with powerful Giljotina (8a), while Tinka Rakar added classic Samsara (8a) to her list.

The next generation keeps impressing: 14-year-old Ajda Skukan Mlačnik claimed Uživancija (8a).

From abroad, Simona Prokešova from the Czech Republic celebrated her first-ever 8a+ and 8b with Sonce v očeh (8a+) and Mrtvaški ples (8b), along with another classic, Giljotina (8a).

Male sends from Mišja peč

The guys also took full advantage of the crisp Rocktober air. Tim Pahor crushed Sreča vrtnice (8b), Lahko noč Irena (8b), and Mrtvaški ples (8b).

Lovro Črep topped off his month with crimpy Človek ne jezi se (8c).

Robert Seregi from Hungary flashed Mozaik (8a) and redpointed Lahko noč Irena (8b).

Italians, Sebastian Castenetto joined the list with Sreča vrtnice (8b), and Stefano Pandolfo sent beautiful Pikova dama (8b).

Another visitor, Vaclav Jaroš from the Czech Republic, added Lahko noč Irena (8b) and Marioneta (8b+) to his impressive tick list.

From Skedenj: Guido De Sabbata on fire

Not far from Mišja peč, in the shady Skedenj, Guido De Sabbata sent La Roulette (8b) – a great line to round off his Rocktober season.
