New way new life, new 8a FA in Kompanj

Goran Matika aka Gogo from Pazin (Croatia) came back from New Year’s holidays in Chulilla (Spain) in his best shape ever. On Sunday he was climbing with his family in Kompanj where he did the old project: the extension of Gay line to the left. The route now with name New way new life has the first 15 meters of Gay line (7c), then continues to the left for another 20 meters of endurance climbing with the spicy top. Ha said that the route is one of the most beatiful lines of Kompanj and deserves a grade around 8a.

Besides that the same day Carlo Giulberti from Italy made a quick 2nd go ascent of Rainini, the very beautiful 8b also in Kompanj.

During the week we noticed also two fast ascents of short and bouldery 8b in Mišja peč – Eagles: it was done by Anže Varga and Jernej Kruder.

Let’s see what this week will bring us. It supposed to get a bit chillier and with some strong wind. Friction?
