Domen Škofic at Kompanj
Kompanj updates
Domen Škofic has been making waves in Kompanj with some strong performances and new developments:
- Škofic sent Rubi silence (8c) — One of the rare repeats of this powerful testpiece originally put up by Bernhard Fiedler. As far as we know, the route has only been repeated by Klemen Bečan besides Škofic.
- Then he bolted a new project straight up the exit from All in, I’m out — This has been developed as an 8c+ line and is the hardest route in Kompanj. It was first ascended by Klemen Bečan — a significant benchmark for the area. Let’s see how hard the new version with the direct exit will be. For sure, a new king line.
Mišja peč sends
Strong performances at Mišja peč from climbers around the region and beyond:
- Tereza Širučkova (Czech Republic) — Sent the long Albanski konjak (8a) on her second go.
- Mitja Jereb (Slovenia) — Tick on classic Mrtvaški ples (8b).
- Marco Francesco Ristić (Croatia, from Pula) & Carlo Zambetti (Italy) — Both climbed the beautiful and long Pikova dama (8b) in the central part of the crag.
- Daniele Mattioli (Italy, from Trieste) — Sent Lahko noč Irena (8b), marking his first 8b.
