Important update: Črni kal Rebolting
In the past days, significant rebolting work in Črni kal has been completed. A big thank you goes to Projekt Osp for their continued effort in maintaining one of the region’s key climbing areas.
Recent ascents – Highlights from the crags
Mišja peč in top form
Mišja peč continues to deliver impressive sends:
- Slovenians Martin Bergant and Žiga Sedej, and Italian climber Sebastian Castenetto repeated the J.S.F.K. extension (8b), which is famous for its jump on the top of the wall. Martin also climbed Nočna kronika extension (8b)
- Lana Skušek sent long Pikova dama (8b) and crimpy Lahko noč Irena (8b)
- Gašper Potrebuješ ticked his first 8b, the classic chipped Mrtvaški ples
- Jakob Aberle (Germany) flashed his first 8a, the crimpy and technical Oktoberfest
- Nea Grzetić (Croatia) climbed the amazing Uživancija (8a) on her second go
- Michal Wrzesinski (Poland) achieved a new personal best with Marioneta (8b/b+)
- Kacper Bonkiewicz (Poland) also climbed Mrtvaški ples (8b)
- Kasia Solczykiewicz (Poland) sent the most repeated 8a of Mišja peč, Samsara
Osp cave power
- Basia Debowska (Poland) climbed the short and steep Baram Baram (8a) in the big cave of Osp
Črni kal classics
- Eva Dana Vidmar sent the technical vertical testpiece of Črni kal, JJJ (8a)
Rock n’Roč talent rising
- 13-year-old Mara Dušić (Croatia) climbed Nairobi (8a) in sunny Rock N’Roč, her second route of the grade, just a couple minutes walking from home
Trieste and surroundings
- Natan Giassi climbed the beautiful Sacro e Profano (8b) at sector Mano di Fatima in Napoleonica
- Simone Constantini sent the mega overhang of Fight the Faida (8b) in summer crag Skedenj
