And here are the news from the rock climbing scene in Istria.

Stefano Carnati climbed Martin Krpan (9a) in Mišja peč. This is what he wrote on his Instagram: “Ticino (bouldering) the previous day, 4 driving hours early in the morning… warm up, weightlessness, brain fully disconnected, failed on the ultra-repeated Samsara (8a), then got my shit together, revised the some upper sequences, climbed the easier version Konec mira (8c/c+), rested for an hour and a half… and Martin Krpan (9a) here we go. Mišja peč 9a’s: 3/3 story completed! But others are waiting: the hardest and the most iconic one lie still!”

Meanwhile, Jakob Greistorfer achieved success with the ascent of the shorter variation, Konec mira (8c/c+). Not to be outdone, Marko Blagojevič ticked the chipped Marioneta (8b/b+) in Mišja peč’s central area.

Elsewhere, Matjaž Zorko enjoyed a picturesque day at panoramic Medveja, where he onsighted Ledeno doba (8a) and redpointed Aria di golpe (8b+).

As the weekend weather forecast looks less than ideal for rock climbing, why not seize the opportunity to explore the thrilling boulders at BoldeRI in Rijeka? Rain or shine, adventure awaits within the walls of this dynamic new gym. See you there!
